They work ! - Suspension

I bought these when my original air shocks on my 2016 FLTRU ripped and leaked oil. After a lot of reading and a VERY informative chat with the guys at Progressive I settled on a Progressive 944. After the mechanic installed them without adjusting the sag, I bottomed EVERY seal on the road. When I got home I turned the setting all the way down until all three ribs came out. It took me about 200 miles and small adjustments every 30-50 miles to get it right. I'm very satisfied and they seemed to…

First pair was too stiff

I even weigh 200 pounds and can't have any sag. I've ridden them about 400 miles now, and I feel like I'm riding a rigid frame. I'll call Speed Addicts tomorrow to send another pair. I'll update my review after seeing how it goes. Progressive guarantees a lifetime shock. Let's see how they deal with it. Ok kudos to Speed Addicts for sending me a spare pair by plane within 2 days. Progressive customer service is terrible. They wanted me to send the first pair back across the country so they…

The dampers are now repaired and working great

These shock absorbers are hard. I ordered a stock spring for my 01 Road King, I'm 230lbs, my wife is 130. Handling seemed improved compared to the stock shocks but as far as bumps go we hit a bit, these shocks are stiff. I'm glad I got the stock springs instead of the recommended heavy springs. I spent over 600.00 on them so thought they would smooth out bumps a bit but we are often made to sit when we hit bumps. I've been wearing them for a couple of months (2000 miles) hoping they will "break

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

These shocks never felt right after they were installed. After working unsuccessfully with customer support, I called Progressive's corporate office. I was advised to give them a short break in time, which I did. I can't say they've improved and the ride really isn't any better than my stock Harley Davidson shocks. When I came out of the garage last night there was a puddle of oil under the right shock absorber. I called progressive support and they told me to email my information and they will

Sneaky good shocks!

I installed them on a 2016 Street Glide. Stock shocks are 12 inches, I didn't measure them first and figured they would lower my bike 1 inch. That wasn't the case, the bike sits at exactly the same height, which isn't a problem as it's a good height to start with. My first ride was less than impressive as I felt the ride was still quite stiff and I was expecting a little more softness from the rear. Now I'm telling you it's "good". I drove a few hundred miles and realized that the only part…

Shocks are perfect for riders under 200lbs

Installed them on my Ultra Limited in 30 minutes. The first thing I noticed after installing it was the low ride height. By lowering the rear end, which is very heavy on my bike, the bike immediately became less "wobbly” at low speeds and stops. Obviously this would be more beneficial for people with vertical disabilities. When it comes to riding a bike with shocks built in, there were two things that bothered me. The first is comfort, the second is performance. As for comfort, I was unhappy…
