I ordered this bike lock for an electric scooter. I had an old bike lock but it was just a standard U-lock, I wanted it for the extra cable that can be used to secure the handlebars as it has a different anatomy than a bike. I consider this a must have accessory for an electric scooter as there are fewer curves and corners so a standard U lock will not fit. The cable is strong yet flexible, I can run it through my electric scooter and love it. The components of the lock are strong, it will be very difficult to break it even with good tools mainly designed for this. It comes with three keys which is great because I have one, my husband has one and we have a third at home. You need a key for both locking and unlocking, which makes sense because you don't want to get somewhere and realize you don't have the key after you've locked it! I see this working great for bikes in high theft areas as I've heard that bikes are essentially disassembled and thieves steal most of them to bypass U-locks. This extra cord prevents that from happening, which is why I see many uses for this type of lock.
