Excellent product. With all those negative reviews with photos of burnt modules, I almost guarantee you were installed incorrectly. All you have to do is cut the power wire from the brake light harness at the third brake light. That's all. It's not earth either. The cut wire coming out of the brake light assembly is soldered to the module's red "out". The other cut end, which goes back to the vehicle's wiring harness, is soldered to the red input on the module. Tie both grounds on the module together and put a ring clamp on them and either find a pre-existing screw that is in direct contact with your car's chassis or use a self-tapping screw somewhere safe. This is the second program I've installed with no problems. I'm pretty sure people open up this product, see the negative and positive sides on both sides of this thing, cut off both the positive and negative sides to the brake light and connect all 4 wires accordingly and wonder why this thing is melting . It's not something you have to do, and it's clearly outlined in the instructions for proper installation.
