Base rotates and doesn't lock properly

Can't use it, returning it. The clip attaches to the swing arm without being able to be securely fastened. I can't keep it where I want. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. If used on a tabletop it might work, but I push against a headboard that isn't perfectly upright and it doesn't work.
