Great Value - TV Ceiling & Wall Mounts

I bought two of these TV mounts for $9.99 each as a lightning deal. I was very skeptical about these mounts as other manufacturers would happily charge upwards of $200 for mounts, some of which do not have a tilt function. Having installed both today, one for a 58" Samsung and one for a 42" Samsung, I can't imagine getting sucked into buying super expensive mounts, which I almost did when I got mine 58 inch device after using it. With these mounts, I realized that these expensive mounts are as big a scam as HDMI cables sold for >$10! A Few Mounting Tips Since the wall-to-wall distance is about 3 inches, you should label your TV's inputs (e.g. HDMI 1 and 2). Also, my 42" screen has a detachable plug, and once I hung the TV on the wall, I found that the bracket attached to the TV was right over the plug hole. I was able to maneuver the plug into my hole without removing the TV from the wall and the bracket from the TV, but I would make sure something needs to be connected before attaching the brackets to the TV. Also for tilting, I pre-tighten the locknuts (not too tight) at an angle that you appreciate for mounting the TV. As the distance to the wall is short you will be spending money if you don't have a 10mm socket with extension I spent a lot of time at the top and behind the TV trying to tighten the corner with a standard 10mm spanner. Otherwise, it was very easy to actually hang the TV on a horizontal bracket on the wall. I would recommend attaching the vertical bracket to the horizontal bracket before attaching anything to get an idea of how it works.

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
