Basic cable costs continue to rise. We already had internet on our smartphone and the cable modem was over the top. We got tired of paying for 5 commercials every 10 minutes and dropped the cable. I tried the unamplified antenna in the attic and got about 10 channels. I was surprised by the reception. Some of these transmitters transmit in excess of a megawatt. Antop stopped at PBS for State College, about 40 miles away. We now have PBS 1.2 and 3, NBC 1.2 3 and 4, CBS 1, 2, 3 and 4, CW and FOX. I was surprised by the simultaneous broadcast of several channels on the stations. PBS kept dropping out. I bent the wire under the antenna and then bent it forward 4 inches and then up about 4 inches. He points to PBS and acts like a director. It made it. PBS is stable. I also received an additional Christian broadcast channel. We now have 16 in hilly western Pennsylvania. The antenna is in the attic next to the window.
