This really reduces the prep time. You don't have to wipe the sides of the bowl when using this blade and that pretty much eliminates the need for the KitchenAid blade. However, make sure you set your blender to the ideal level so that it wipes the bowl but doesn't touch it (and therefore break it or make noise). An image with instructions on how to set up the mixer is available on one of the customer images. Also, make sure you get the correct blending blade. The website has a page listing KitchenAid mixers and their matching blades. I give the link at the end (unfortunately Revain removed the link) but thought it would be easier to just list them here. I hope it helps! You need to match the first 3-4 digits of the model to the blade (essentially you don't need the last part of the model number which contains the color of your blender). On my KitchenAid mixer, the model number was on the base. I can't say for sure if every model has this number. The BeaterBlade model number is listed here in the Product Information section.
