I tried to boil 4 cups of water and after 40 minutes the temperature wasn't over 160 degrees. I tried again with just 2 cups of water and after 30 minutes it was still 160 degrees. I used a pan that is almost the same diameter as the burner and set it on the highest setting the entire time. I wasn't expecting much but the product specifically says it can boil water.
