Misleading and Unsubstantiated Claims - No Certificate on Box - Buyers Beware

Wamery is a "Certified American Company" (whatever that means). Then they have to work on their English skills. Many of their claims sound like standard pop-up pages for Chinese products. They claim that their filters are NSF 42, 53, 372 certified (but not NSF certified, which is an important distinction). the most certified product on the market, NSF/ANSI 53 for improved health by reducing cadmium, copper and mercury NSF/ANSI 42 for positive aesthetic effects to reduce chlorine (taste and odor) and zinc NSF/ANSI 372 for lead-free. ” - Please note that it is not certified for lead removal; It is only certified not to add lead. And "the most certified product on the market"? Prove it. It's not even NSF certified, so it can't be the most certified. And WQA (Water Quality Association) is a trade association. This means its purpose is to serve the industry. It aims to help people who sell water purifiers. How can they do that? They claim that they have "independent laboratories" and create their own seal and "certification". There are many quotes here because there are many misunderstandings. Just read the product page. Yes, a trade association can be honest in its findings BUT there isn't even a seal or certificate on the product or packaging. There is no mention of WQA - just a stamp that says "QUALITY CERTIFIED BY AMERICAN COMPANY" which means nothing - although it mistakenly looks like a certification. The product packaging makes no mention at all of conformance to any NSF/ANSI standards - nor does it require certifications or any type of testing by anyone. In terms of product design, the filter lets a lot of water into the jug around its o-ring, so a quarter (more or less, maybe half) of the "filtered" water isn't actually filtered. This is because the o-ring leaks from all directions. Changing the filter doesn't help. It's just bad design. The plastic looks cheap and rather thin. It feels like it will break very easily, so you have to be careful with it. But I guess it doesn't matter if the rest of the product doesn't work properly and isn't certified. It's "Designed in the USA, Made in China". It feels like it's made as cheaply as possible. I could go on but it was already a waste of time and money.
