These lightbulbs were perfect for our staircase leading down to the living room. We put one in and turned on the light switch and the light comes on automatically when you start walking down the stairs. Since we don't have a light switch at the bottom of the stairs, this solved the problem of the light staying on all the time and constantly burning out. It's bright and turns itself off after a short while, but turns back on when it senses someone walking up or down the stairs. Hopefully it will last, but with 2 packs you'll have a spare when you need it.
