I've tried many different filters on my customers and on my own vehicles and the K&N plain flat filters work best. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you're turning the quarter-turn wrench as hard as your hands will allow (maybe more if your hands are slippery), as they can back away from you, especially on the Silverado, so you do it just not it. don't go to hell and you'll be great!
