K&N Premium Oil Filter: Ultimate Engine Protection, Compatible with Select CHEVROLET/GMC/BUICK/CADILLAC Models - HP-2006 Review

As an Automotive enthusiast, I was excited to try out a new tool to make oil changes easier. Unfortunately, this wrench was a complete letdown. As a result of my tests, I determined that it did not grip the oil filter properly and slipped multiple times, making the task much more difficult than simply using a regular wrench.

I've tried many different filters on my customers and on my own vehicles and the K&N plain flat filters work best. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you're turning the quarter-turn wrench as hard as your hands will allow (maybe more if your hands are slippery), as they can back away from you, especially on the Silverado, so you do it just not it. don't go to hell and you'll be great!

From what I have read and researched K&N oil filters are among the best. I've been a long time Fram user but after seeing some comparisons I decided to switch to K&N for 5 out of 6 of my cars (I use Mann for my Porsche). Since I change my oil every 2,000 miles, the quality of the filter is probably not that critical, but the difference in price isn't enough to make you not choose the best. I like the wrench on the bottom of the K&N, but wish it was 1/16" or 1/8" longer. The heads work well but…
