Good and bad. Depending on your expectations.

I was trying to find an easy and fast way to backup photos and videos from iPhone to Mac. I've used different apps but almost all of them use Wi-Fi to transfer, which is fine for photos but too slow for long videos. I tried Airdrop and the photo transfer app on Mac. Both are good for photos but choke on long videos. I was hoping that this SanDisk device would be the answer. It's.kinda.PERFECT if you want to move photos and videos off your iPad or iPhone. The software is stable. Transferred everything without problems. This is TERRIBLE if you want to move photos and videos FAST from your iPad or iPhone. It took me over 2 hours to copy 83 gigabytes of material to iXpand. If you are satisfied with such a recording speed, then buy this device. You get a reliable, well-built, and well-engineered device. If you need speed, look elsewhere. I finally found an iPhone/iPad data app that can use a wired USB data connection. Much faster via wired than wireless, although you can also transfer wirelessly with this app.

Pros
  • Easily move content between iPhone, iPad Pro and USB Type-C devices, including Android phones.(1) | (1) For iPhone, iPad Pro and iPod compatibility information, please visit the SanDisk Support ixpan and Compatibility website. Android device requires USB Type-C port and On-The-Go (OTG) support; See the SanDisk dualdrive-c website for a list of compatible devices.
