I don't normally leave reviews, and I take no pleasure in having to leave a negative one, but I also don't especially enjoy buying something ostensibly new and then having to spend the better part of a day repairing it because it immediately broke. I purchased 2x of these two-pack garland strands and had high hopes for them: the colors are very vivid and eye-catching, each strand was thick enough that I personally did not feel the need to double them up, and they appeared to arrive in good condition (no broken/missing leaves, etc.). I received two felt/cloth-backed ziplock bags each containing two strands, which thankfully were not vacuum-sealed or otherwise squished flat so the leaves still had plenty of folds and depth to them.However, because the bags are approximately square-ish and the strands are quite long, each garland was folded roughly in half in order to fit inside the packaging, creating a U-bend towards the middle of the plastic strands. Two of my four strands snapped in half right at the curve of this bend; one broke as I was trying to gently straighten it out to hang along the side of a window, the other snapped overnight after I'd managed to braid the broken half of the first onto another strand so it could still be used. I've tried several kinds of tape, hot glue, crazy glue, you name it, *nothing* seems to work to get these strands to stick back together.I can't say I feel like I got my money's worth here and I don't know that I'd buy these again. More importantly, I'd specifically caution anyone buying these for outdoor use. If they're this flimsy and break this easily under their own weight, I'm not sure what even a light breeze would do to these strands. It's a shame too, because the colors and shapes ARE very lovely, and are exactly what I wanted- if they'd actually functioned as intended.
