Review on 🚴 Messingschlager Adjustable Alloy Bike Stem 31.8 x 85mm, 40-140 Degree, 1.1/8" Ahead, Black by Carrie Spencer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well on the Trek 820 mountain bike.

I felt like leaning too far forward on my new Trek 820 and wanted to sit more upright. I've been arguing between this and replacing the handlebars with more lift and/or stem. Looking at pictures and reading reviews, this adjustable stem seemed solid and functional. If that alone didn't get me the height I was looking for, I'd swap out the handlebar for the next one. Luckily, two clicks forward from the upright position gave me perfect seating comfort. All parts are of good quality and I expect them to work flawlessly for many years. As a precaution, I added some thread lock to some of the screws. I left 3 washers under this stem and the steerer tube doesn't come all the way out of the top clamp, so how I'd like. Once installed everything seemed solid with no play or noise. highlighted.
