Before that, I used Onyx Boox Darwin 3, and so - this Kindle is head and shoulders above Darwin. About the fact that for the Kindle it is necessary to convert to mobi format - this has not been a problem for a long time, how many books I downloaded - there were always links to download mobi, and in extreme cases there are programs for converting, but they never came in handy for me. Darwin was not bad, but terribly slow and did not give pleasure from use, and after 2 years of use the battery died - enough for half a day, which is surprising for an ink book. Kindle is just nice to hold in your hands when you read - soft touch plastic is more convenient than the pathetic leather cover of Darwin. The battery lasts a long time - I charge it once a month if I don't use the backlight. If I actively use the backlight, then the batteries are still enough for 2-3 weeks (I charge when 10-20% remains)
