Instructions for connecting a DVD player to a TV are inadequate and misleading. You'll need a second power cord as advertised, but it doesn't tell you which ports to use. You need a second power cord to connect Pb and Pr. This connection provides the color. The red, white and yellow power cord that came with the player connects to the TV as follows: white to the left audio input, red to the right audio input, yellow to the video input. When connected to an HD TV, the picture is excellent. .
