Bought 2 of these for a NAS I was building. I bought them for capacity, price and reliability. Some studies have shown that they are well-reviewed. The only thing I have is that they call it 8TB but it's actually 7.2. Where I went to school and studied mathematics. When rounding the numbers, this is called 7TB, not 8TB. If it was 7.8 or something remotely similar, I would understand. But not 7.2. Shame on you Seagate. Now for the good. They have an annual failure rate of 0.35%. This is one of the lowest prices for corporate drives. They're cheaper than their latest line of Ironwolf discs. Actually much cheaper. They have a 5 year guarantee while Ironwolf only has 3 years. These drives are rated at 500 TB per year. Usage, with Ironwolf rated at 300 TB per year. you do the math
