Review on 🎧 High-Definition Sound Isolation In-Ear Headphones - SOUL SL99 (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Michelle Meyer

Great for the price but still prefer the Klipsch Image S4

I ended up buying it on a recent offer for $24. Apparently for the price you can't go wrong. That said, while there are a few things I like about these headphones, the sound out of the box isn't quite the same. Keep in mind that I'm comparing them to my Klipsch Image S4, which I've had for a few years. Things I like: * Quite comfortable * They seem well built/durable/sturdy *Price was great (S4s )* Sound quality isn't that great either* Tips feel cheap and paper thin (maybe that's why the insulation not so good) Now I only have them a day and I'm by no means an audiophile. so maybe there should be a burnout period for them. I compare them with S4, which have been actively used for several years. The SL99's sound is still decent, especially for $25 headphones, but compared to the S4 they just sound muted and slightly muffled across the spectrum. I capture things with extreme clarity in my S4s that I just don't see with the same clarity in the SL99. The SL99's highs aren't as crisp, and the mids and lows are a bit muddy. As I said, it may well be because they came fresh out of the packaging and are not burnt. When it comes to headphones, it takes several days of continuous work to get the perfect sound. I'm willing to hold on to them and give them a chance. I don't want to get rid of them and miss out on a potentially great couple. Has anyone else had this experience? You think they're good out of the box, but does the sound improve over time? I always thought burn-in was only for big headphones and not in-ear headphones, but like I said, I'm not a music lover. Those non-audiophile ears seem to prefer the Klipsch S4 at the moment because I can hear a lot more in a song than I just can't quite get on the SL99. Please let me know if you have experienced the same. thing, and whether they improve over time. Or will they sound the same as fresh out of the box in a few months?

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
