This headboard looks great and we are very satisfied. Build Quality: Overall a very good headboard. The material is comfortable. There was a very slight "tug" on one of the linen threads, but it wasn't that noticeable so I ignored it in my review. There was a small alignment issue in the middle of the four panels where the vertical crease at the top didn't line up exactly with the vertical crease at the bottom. I've tried pulling out as much slack as possible to fix it and lined it up pretty tight, but there's still a few millimeters of difference. I'm the only one who noticed. Assembly: Assembly is pretty easy. Each panel is attached to the adjacent panel with two screws and a wing nut. Assembly Tip: You should simply lay out the panels in advance to ensure you are attaching the panels together correctly. Hanger panels (French plank) are at the top of the headboard, the other two panels are at the bottom. Make sure you have the correct panel by looking at the OUTSIDE of the panel (fabric) to see if there is a hole to connect it to an adjacent panel on the correct side. If you look inside the slab you may see a hole and mistakenly assume you have lined it up correctly when in fact it may be the outside edge of the slab. The panels have holes on both sides, one is cut for a stud, the other is covered with fabric. Assembly Tip: When assembling, don't fully tighten all the pieces until you've connected them all, then look to the other side to see if you need to adjust any plates to align the center cross. Try to move the panels as straight as possible, then pull them a little tighter and repeat the process. Installation. The installation is uncomplicated. You attach two boards to the wall (widest side out, pointy edge up) and then slide the headboard over them. Installation tip: If possible, try to hit the rack of each plank. If possible, move your bed a little to the left or right. Between sagging spikes and bed placement, you can probably use a bolt on each spike. If that doesn't work, I'll have you make two 28" handlebars instead that hook two posts on each side. You can use drywall anchors and that should be fine considering the headboard is very light but if the table saw clamps are easy to make. Recommendation: tape protects this after assembly.
