Connections are well cut and glued without gaps. The box is square and strong enough to carry a full size Keurig without deformation. The box fits neatly with no play. I sanded very lightly and then brought the candle to the bottom side rails as the drawer slides on them to make it slide a little smoother and quieter. He didn't need it, but was slightly improved by him. Because the box is so well thought out that you can turn it around! There is a cut out in the "front" which makes the handle unobtrusive OR you can rotate it and install your own handle to match your decor. Both types look neat and give you much more freedom of display. I would honestly deduct a star for that.
