I use it as a monitor for computers that are in vehicles, are usually installed in the trunk and have no easily accessible connections except for a USB and an HDMI. This monitor is powered via USB-A to Micro-USB and a full-size HDMI port. The included 1-foot cables include an HDMI cable and a micro USB cable. This allows you to view the device, but if you want to use touch input, you'll need a second micro-USB cable to connect it to the touch port. I wouldn't expect exceptional picture quality from a 7 inch monitor, but it's acceptable.
