I've followed the advice in other reviews to maximize the brightness with my 2019 MBP 16 but it's still not bright enough. The "trick" is that macOS with Big Sur has its own "High Dynamic Range" control on the displays. Simply using the monitor's built-in settings is not enough to maximize brightness. I looked up the specs for it (strangely it's missing from the Amazon product page) and it only has a brightness of (typical) 250 cd/m2. My old and smaller Dell P2715Q has 350cd/m2, so the new Samsung is too dark for me. I also agree with the comments about the poor USB-C/Thunderbolt connection.
