Get it while you can

This is the only working dock and I've tried them all - Targus, Kensington, Plugable, HP, CalDigit and others. everyone has problems! This has only given me two problems with my fleet of laptops so far, which are very minor compared to other docking stations: the monitors wouldn't turn on the first time on SP7 after a cold boot, and suddenly the USB hub stopped working when it was connected to my ThinkPad, which was resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the dock. The main problem with these docks now is that they are EOL and will be replaced by WD19S and WD19TBS. Dell folks claim the only difference is that the built-in DAC has been removed in the S versions, but apparently that's not true. I bought the WD19S thinking it would solve the USB hub problem as there were fewer devices plugged into it, but it had charging issues where after a while it would stop charging the laptop so you plug the dock back in had to. It seems they really changed the PD controller and you never know what else, so the dock is completely different. Grab WD19 while supplies last.
