I would suggest other scissors if your LO really wants to cut something. If they just wanted to play with scissors it would be safer and still be fun. Mine (24 months old) really wanted to cut so I bought him real (regular) blunt tip scissors (to protect against punctures) and he can cut paper all day. hair too.
