Review on Fiskars Pre-School Spring Action Scissors: Reliable & Versatile Craft Tools for Kids (Color May Vary) by Kelsey Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Waste of time if you want to cut paper.

Of course they help practice cutting movements. But the blades are essentially little strips of serrated foil, and they don't cut anything. You spend more time helping your child cut (their little fingers try to cut you) because otherwise they just crumple up the paper. waste of time and money. I would suggest other scissors if your LO really wants to cut something. If they just wanted to play with scissors it would be safer and still be fun. Mine (24 months old) really wanted to cut so I bought him real (regular) blunt tip scissors (to protect against punctures) and he can cut paper all day. hair too.

Pros
  • Perfect for ages three and up, the number one brand recommended by teachers
Cons
  • No power
