I live near the ocean so I try to use paper straws instead of plastic ones whenever possible. I give them as gifts to my family and friends when we meet at a restaurant and I always get lots of compliments on the pattern. My only complaint is that they are overpriced for what they are. I'll probably wait for a sale before considering buying. I prefer them over silicone, bamboo, or metal straws, but it's hard to justify the high cost for something I only use for a short time and end up throwing away. If you are only going to use them for a party or themed event and not for everyday use, then this might not be a problem for you. Then you will not be disappointed with these straws.
