Review on ๐Ÿ” Enhanced SEO: Moog CC782 Improved Coil Spring Set by Matthew Sutton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A perfect match for Dorman 929-301 Heavy Duty Springs and Moog Spacers K160039

Five years ago I bought Dorman 929-301 Heavy Duty Springs for my 1996 XJ. This gave me 2.5 inches of lift (19.5 inches from the centerline of the hub to the top of the plastic bumper). I measured it recently and it only settled at 19 inches. The front end still measured 17.5 inches of headroom. Other Revain reviewers have recommended these springs to compensate for travel. I asked my local mechanic to install them along with Revain's new Moog K160039 spacers. Together they flattened the front end to a perfect 19 inches. My local machine shop was suspicious of my plan and part selection based solely on Amazon reviews, but they were amazed at how well everything worked. We were both concerned about the need for longer shocks, but after measuring with and without the stock shocks, they decided that using the stock Monroe shocks would be fine. Note that I gave it a 5 for ease of installation since all I had to do was sit at the back end and drink them for free. Coffee and writing a check. lol. Thanks to all pioneers before me!
