Review on RM YD092 CONTROL RMYD092 149206511 Electronics by Marti Kordeliski

I had two of these remotes. The first came with our Sony TV. After about two years, the remote started behaving in a way that required very, very hard button presses for them to do anything. We swapped out the batteries, but that only fixed the problem for a couple of weeks before it eventually died out entirely. So I bought this replacement remote. When it arrived I put fresh, brand new batteries in it. The board worked great! Pleasant and responsive. However, after five or six days, his buttons started to press harder. After two weeks the remote control was unusable. (I still haven't bothered to check it a month after buying it, but it stopped working two weeks after buying it.) I don't know of any remote replacement other than an unbranded one, but this one doesn't get good reviews. I don't see how it could be worse than this other than this one being twice the price. I'm returning it too late for a refund so it's my fault, but no remote should only last two weeks. Surely I got a lemon in the mail, right?
