I have had the same two nylon dog leashes for 30 years and they have held up well but look pretty shabby. In connection with the recent rescue of a new old dog it was time to get a good leather leash to match the collar it came with - the reviews and description of this leash did not disappoint. This leash is of high quality, beautifully finished and made of pleasantly soft, cuddly braided leather. My new puppy doesn't pull on the leash but I find she handles it well. Similarly, my old man weighs 125 pounds and pulls terribly, but he can handle anything he manages to pull; whether it's his teeth or his full body weight, this leash holds up great. I would definitely buy another one and will do so.
