Works better than described. This detector in my house detects motion at least 70 feet away. That's 200% MORE than advertised on the website. Note that the default setting is HIGH (longer distance). It took me a while to play around with the settings (inside the sensor). I've found that leaving the sensor on the default settings works very well for one of the sensors, while CHANGING the internal switch to low works well for the other. Sensor I need tuning. IF you open any of the sensors to CHANGE the default setting (which defaults to high), just know that it will detect a person with AT LEAST the claimed 33 senses (mine does at 70ft). Yes, I measured it. Also KNOW that the little rubber grommet that goes into the sensor cap will likely pop out a bit so make sure you put it back on before putting the cap back on the back of the sensor (otherwise it will leak) . You can do this with the included screwdriver and carefully screw it back into the slot on the back to ensure it is secure. IF you aim this sensor, pay attention to the field of view as it has a 90 degree vertical angle (I think it's 90). and around the horizontal viewing plane of 120 degrees. If you tilt it too low, it will lift your cat, dog, etc., which you might not want, so CHANGE the up/down angle accordingly (it rotates up/down/right/left). It MAY take a while to get it just right like I did on my 2 acre property but when it's done I think you'll love how this unit works :) I'm still me not sure how weatherproof this unit is. Actually, since it's warm/sunny in Florida right now. However, I foresaw the need for UV coating of plastic parts as UV rays KILLS plastic quickly here in Florida, so I do this for my outdoor gear (tents, tarps, etc.). There are many UV products available at Revain for this purpose (like sunscreen but for plastic, tarpaulins, tarpaulins, tents etc.). I am of course also applying a UV coating to the solar panel and knowing about GLASS < our UV rays WILL KILL this plastic coating in 1-2 years.
