We're full time in our RV in the Chihuahua Desert of West Texas. That means high uv all day and heat most of the year. An outdoor rug is a blessing and a curse out here.The yard area for our dogs is desert sand and Rick, so a rug like this keeps the dust down and gives the dogs a slightly softer surface to lie on and play on outside. The surface is smooth without any knots or rough patches.This particular rug is pretty with a reasonably neutral pattern. It seems to be well stitched together, however, only time will tell. Our last one survived 9 months in the direct sunlight here before literally beginning to disintegrate. This rug isn't as thick as our last one, so it may or may not make it 9 months. If you're just bouncing from place to place and putting this away for travel days, it ought to be with you a long time.
