This large drive has a nice, sturdy case. It works very well on sequential reads and quite well on sequential writes. Its incidental performance in both finished and written form isn't that impressive. I wouldn't choose this drive if I was randomly communicating with the drive. For serial data transmission, it will probably have to change. I measured these speeds on a recent gaming laptop with a floppy drive plugged directly into a USB 3.0 port directly on the computer.
