This will not fit the Ram 1500 and cannot be modified to fit. When you buy this you are essentially paying for Energy Suspension's customer service to get you the correct parts under warranty. I hope you didn't disassemble the rear suspension as it takes about a week for the parts to arrive. If you have a Dodge 1500 you probably have a 1.5 inch leaf spring and cannot use either spring. Applications that Energy Suspension claims are suitable for this vehicle. This product gets 1 star (minimum) because it doesn't fit the car it was designed for and 1 star because Energy Suspension doesn't charge me for replacing the part. I think it should be an average one star purchase but I have used this type of product on various vehicles and love the concept and benefits. However, I will no longer be using Energy Suspension as it took time and effort to find out that their products are not suitable for my vehicle.
