I have a problem with light mats. I use these in my guinea pig cages, hay does NOT come off these mats. I comb, hand pick and vacuum before washing. It really slows down my cell cleansing. The darker the carpet, the better. I have some with a short, fluffy pile in a dark charcoal color, and some with a flat topstitch that's a little lighter, and others with a different topstitch and a little lighter than the others. They are ALL brush and shake clean, I LOVE them but I have a few other mats that are really light gray and these are the ones that I have cleaned well. Is it possible to make rugs from ALL dark materials? All my rugs are from this company. Consistency would be great.
