No Houdini proof, but very well done!

I ordered them for what will probably be a nightmare vacation with a female in heat and five unchanged males of different sizes. I've ordered a very large for a chocolate lab, a large for a cocker spaniel, and a medium for a dachshund, shih tzu, and pug, and they all fit a variety of closures. First, they absorb well. In the middle of the fabric there is a very thick, removable padding that absorbs most of the urine and a shell that ensures that nothing leaks. HOWEVER, we had mistakes. This is because someone in our family put the film on and didn't cover the target area. Also, our dogs are smart. Our pug, for example, becomes like a cat, snuggling around our legs and trying to get it rolling. It didn't work, but I have to admire his attempt. The dachshund also slipped out of him a few times, crawled under the sofa, licked his body and clung to the foil on the sofa leg. Yes, I have smart dogs. The Shih Tzu had no problem with it and didn't care what it was about him. Second, because they are very absorbent, urine remains on the diaper. It rinses off easily, but when your dog jumps onto your lap after trying to tag it, it smells like they mistook it for a pack of skunks. The chocolate lab technician was shocked when we had to put it on him but didn't mind at all until he put his foot on the furniture. He got frustrated, confused and tried to repeat the action with the same results. He then spent the next ten minutes chasing the stench before giving up. At first we had to wash them every day. Five dogs and six bandages. Pooh. Then I bought another load of media and just threw it in the laundry at the end of the day. My only tiny wish would be if they were just a few inches longer. It's going to be harder for a dachshund to get out of there. And if you consider them versus Velcro, I have both. Velcro loses its adhesion when washed. It might not be as easy to adjust to any height, but the multiple zips mean you can switch to an external zip at most of his waist and work tighter when you get to his lower abdomen. And I will buy more of them.
