Maybe not for heavy pullers

I have mixed feelings about this. On the plus side, it arrived very quickly and the band's material seems to be of the same high quality as any other more established label. The reflective aspect is really good. In general I like the collar. Only downside: I'm exchanging the collar for a branded collar as I'm concerned that the two metal rings that connect the martingale loop might break. My dog is a 50 pound pointer, very strong, athletic and a great puller. (We rescued him just a month ago and are working on leash routing.) If I were raising him from a puppy I probably wouldn't be concerned with this collar. But considering he's incredibly fast and I have a feeling he'll be in Pennsylvania within an hour if he escapes me (we live near New York) I need to be 100% sure about the collar . I got this martingale to work on its leash behavior but the two metal rings that attach the martingale loop to the rest of the collar do not inspire confidence. This, coupled with the fact that I had read several other reviews saying they broke, scared me. In my particular case, I just don't think this purchase will work. Unless your dog is a massive puller I suspect this will work great for you. (To put it bluntly, the collar hasn't had any issues so far.)

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some little things
