Review on Effortless Volumizing and Drying: HOT TOOLS Professional White Gold Detachable One Step Volumizer and Hair Dryer by Eric Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you have never tried any of these...

You should get one! I gave away these dryer brushes over the holidays and everyone just loves them. They are especially good if you have short and thin hair. You will create a really beautiful body. As you can see from the photos I have a lot of hair and I still love it. But there are some things you should know. When I started using it, I noticed that my hair tended to get tangled more easily due to heat damage due to the hair strands being in direct contact with the heat for a long time. I do NOT recommend using the heat setting, especially if you have long, thick hair like mine that takes a lot of strokes to dry your hair. I use a blow dryer to dry my hair 3/4 and then finish it off with a brush. What I like about a brush compared to a regular flat iron is that it leaves my hair looking pretty straight while also leaving a lot of body in my hair. The bottom is curled up a bit which gives the impression that I have rounded edges, but I think it looks ok. Without styling, my hair is quite wavy, like tangled beach hair, except that it's not always cute, it can look pretty messy. I highly recommend you always use a heat protectant spray or serum, as well as a detangling hair serum with this device. the ends of your hair if you have long hair like me. The only reason I took a star off my rating is the potential hair damage this can cause and also I received last year's Hot Tools model of this brush and where the head meets the handle, it broke a bit right after i first got it and it was a bit wobbly. So I am cautious about the quality of this brand but I will say that so far it seems to be of much better quality than last year.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can I add something?
