When I initially installed the included batteries I received a flash with both devices. Good. Easy to mount on spokes. Good. However, I couldn't seem to turn them on. Bad. After reading numerous reviews, I learned that you need to hold the on/off button down for awhile until the light turns on. Knowing that earlier would have been very helpful. I am doing routine biking in a city like area so the lights work but no patterns, as many people wrote before I bought them. I assumed that I would get more than a lit up device even if I biked around the neighborhood. Not true. I'll keep them and use them but I should have bought something else. Oh, and one of the included batteries ran out of juice almost immediately.
