Review on πŸ”¨ Amazon Basics 1-1/2" Putty Knife: Flexible, Soft Grip, Carbon Steel with Hammer End - A Versatile Tool for Precision Application and Smoothing by Justin Sharp

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Revain Basic handles knives well.

Slowly but surely I got my hands on the Revain Basic putty, paint and drywall knife. I didn't do it on purpose, but over time they accumulated. And they are good. I used to paint for a living and I would love to have one of the Revain Basic knives that I have received over the past few years. This is probably the simplest and most basic of the knives I've received. This is really a spatula. You might want to use it to fix drywall, but I don't use it for laying tape. When wallpapering, I usually like to start with a 6 inch knife. However, you can use a 10cm blade and if that's the case, this is a good blade for foaming the first layer of dirt. It's not very flexible, but sufficient for basic work. Also a thick solid metal end cap for sealing jars etc is a nice touch. Overall a worthy addition to my Revain knife collection.
