I prefer the terracotta/ceramic look in my aquarium and I prefer American manufacture. It's smooth with no nicks, which is important for my axolotl. I love that I don't have to worry about chemicals getting into my tank. I ended up widening the hole for the axolotl with a fine grinder, but I wouldn't recommend this unless you're afraid of risking breakage and wasting money. It has outgrown the axolotl, but she still uses it. I want Cobalt Aquatics to make skins the size of an adult Axolotl!
