When I bought this mop I didn't read the fine print that said it can't be used with polish. All I know is that it was often purchased with my favorite Holloway House Quick Shine High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster. I love this product and have been using it for years but wanted an easier way to apply it. My main floor (over 1000 square feet) is all hardwood and is quite difficult to clean/clean. Well, that mop wasn't the answer. I knew something was wrong when I saw all the streaks and uneven application. I went back and read the box and saw that the mop can only be used with floor cleaners. I read reviews from people who did the same. I immediately shook out the remaining shine and rinsed the mop with hot water to keep it from clogging. I went to the store to buy their floor cleaner but they didn't have it. So I bought another brand. The mop worked better this time but was still a bit streaky. I had to slowly wipe it off with a mop, using force to avoid leaving streaks. But even with the effort, some managed. The good news is that a lot of dirt has accumulated. Then I tried it on bathroom tiles. Much better. I can say that I was satisfied. I keep the mop and use it a few times a year. I believe this is a good way to clean the floor before applying shine (which I should be doing anyway). I just want them to design a mop for their Luster product.
