I use them to clean sticks out of a deep pond drain during the winter months, so they need to be long enough to reach my shoulders, insulated enough to keep my hands and arms warm in freezing water, and strong enough , so as not to break when I drag sticks/twigs. They lasted all winter which is more than I can say about any other pair I've bought. I used them 2-3 times a week, they took a lot of abuse.
