Update: This rug will stand up to regular washing and machine drying and is a lot easier than fiddling with zippers and panels every time. Greyhound approved. It's actually a cage mat so has less padding than a regular "cot" but my dog spends as much time on this mat as he does on his plush bed. I have an older dog with anxiety issues and an active bladder so I needed something that would be easy to clean up after an accident. I was tired of constantly struggling with padded inserts, covers and cheap zippers. The pad seems well made for the price - good size, soft top cover and I also like the non-slip bottom cover which keeps the pad from flying across the room every time the dog jumps up. I'll update if it breaks prematurely, but so far so good.
