We bought our first house and it was a 1950's Rambler with 2 prong sockets. When we replaced the old outlets with the new three-prong ones, this little device really put our minds at ease and reassured us that we were doing our job right. It let us know quickly and easily when we accidentally swapped hot and cold wires.
