This product definitely makes my hair shine. If I spray it too close to my head (less than 12 inches), my hair gets a little greasy. So I try to spray it up in the air and then I go in. I also noticed that it spread onto my skin leaving my face quite greasy. I usually spray 3 sprays each time (once on top, once on each side). I have fine hair, but there's a lot of it, so maybe that's why it can get a bit heavy at times. It works great on my daughter's hair, whose hair is much thicker and longer. So I think it depends on your hair type. I still like the product but try not to over spray it. It also helps tame curls a bit. Overall I'm happy with the product, you just need to figure out how much to use based on your hair type and length.
