Good replacement for cheap Hunter Douglas plastic blind handles

We've spent far too much on Hunter Douglas wicker blinds in our new home. We thought we were "getting it right the first time," but that's another story. Expensive blinds look good anyway, but the cord handles you pull to raise and lower the blinds are cheap plastic and break all the time. The company sent us a package of spare parts and they keep breaking. We finally bought them and they work like a dream and look better than the cheap Hunter Douglas plastic bins.

Looks great! overpriced? May be.

These wood handles were exactly what I was looking for to replace the old plastic attic handle originally intended for the house. After 17 years the plastic started cracking and my kid finished it. ;-) I only needed one hit, but I think I'll have another one for later. It was a bit difficult to thread the thick cord through the small hole in the drawstring. I've found that twisting and pushing works best. After I managed to thread the cord and tie a knot, this train looks great! I am very…

Very satisfied. I'm glad I found her.

As one reviewer said; Be prepared to tie a larger knot than usual as the hole is larger than most pulls. I could have just tied a big knot, but I took a small wooden bead I had in my litter box and threaded the cord through the pull, then the bead, then I tied a small knot, but it's definitely not necessary. I like their size and looks, they are strong and sturdy rather than skinny and flimsy. I was happy to find them and didn't feel the price was too high. They arrived very quickly, earlier…

BOTTOM HOLE TOO SMALL

I ordered these wooden laces to attach to the cord that opens and closes my attic door. However, the top hole that the cable goes through is just the right size. But the bottom hole is so small that you can't put a line through it, which is necessary for the line to work. My attic cord is regular gauge and I don't know of many cords that would fit these trains. Even the cords on my blinds, which are a bit thinner than the attic cord, don't go through those extremely small bottom holes on these…

Not as good as we would like.

Ordered these and they were initially pretty easy to cut. Then I spliced the two pieces together and that was it it, it looked ok. They are big and really pop out next to the originals. Then after a few uses. Oops they literally fell apart! I twisted them back together making sure to hand tighten them. And what happens, them come apart again? After that 4 or 5 times I decided to put some "superglue" on the threads and twist the part again. I let it sit for a few hours then tried again. Wow. TWO

Exactly what was needed

I used these cable ties to fix the original cracked and falling apart tie rods on a set of heavy 6ft mini blinds to replace. Each curtain is pulled with a thick cord to control the raising, lowering, opening and closing of the mini blinds. Each mini blind has 4 thick cords running through the top pull hole. So I had to make sure the cord that pulls the top hole was wide enough for a string to pass through. The Dritz #44350 cable tensioners fit very well and it took about a minute to tighten the

Pretty good but overpriced.

First of all it's very expensive for the price but they know they can distinguish their product because I can't find anything that compares anywhere! Not Home Depot, not Lowes, nowhere else. I really needed them, so I just bit the bullet by paying nearly $10 ($3.17 each) for them. Just not knowing what their names are I couldn't figure out where to find them and I accidentally found them on Amazon. They have their pros and cons. Let me start with Pros.Pros1. Easy installation - somehow. I've…
