I actually collect rocks like these at the local rivers and ocean for painting and crafts, but I wanted to give these a try to see if they were flatter than the ones I have. They are pretty similar but actually a tinge flatter than what I can get which is great since they are easier to paint on. I received 10 rocks, and they were a good size. They are not terribly big but they are not small. They also are not porous where your painting will look bumpy. I've had some trouble with rocks around here since some of them seem to suck up the paint a little more and seem bumpy. These are the smoothest and flattest types you can get and are perfect for painting pictures. They're all cleaned up and ready to go. If you don't have ones like this locally these are perfect and can keep you busy for all different types of crafts. I'm super pleased and do recommend.
