Relatively light, strong, thin when folded, I hold it in front of the back seat. I wrote Gen 7 and suggested putting the grip on the top half instead of the bottom. I use it to load my 75# Golden in the back seat of my truck so it's tall. You hold it by the handle, release the latch and the device unfolds. But then you need to rotate it 180 degrees and put the handle on the bottom. It didn't make any sense to me. I'll move the handle to the top half. UPDATE: After six months of use it's holding up well, the dog would rather go down than up (?), and it's still awkward to unfold. I assume the designer never used it. Example: You hold the handle and release the latch while holding it folded. You might assume that the piece you're holding would just fit on the seat or tailgate, but NO, it's the piece that goes to the ground. PLEASE Generation 7 put the handle on the top half and it will be perfect.
