Review on Case Logic KSW 92 Capacity Prosleeve by Steve Chomos

Revainrating 3 out of 5

compared to old, new = less functionality than durability.

Unfortunately the build quality of this beautiful product has deteriorated compared to previous versions. What looks like a classic Case Logic Koskin KSW-320 in the photos is actually almost an imitation on closer inspection. It's not the same product compared to what I'm used to since buying it in store in 2011-2012. For example, the back, front and back of the 2015 version now lack the thicker, denser padding that previously provided strength and added dent resistance. Plus, it's now made from a lighter synthetic leather material, which is alarmingly thin and overly flexible, and obviously more prone to damage. Worse, the nylon case's build quality is half what it used to be, and as a result feels unreliable and a bit brittle around the zipper. On the plus side, Prosleeves are built to the highest standards. However, the downhill performance was just unexpected and disappointing. I suppose if I couldn't compare the old and the new I might be satisfied enough. But just sitting around it seems and seems to me that the new Case Logic = is the worst functionality in terms of durability.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
