We changed the water in our 55 gallon tank. I know from experience that fish cannot survive without water treatment. The best thing about this product is that the lid is used to measure out just the right amount needed for your aquarium size. This product works instantly so if you prepare the water before putting the fish in the tank you can put your fish back in a cleaned tank right away!
